Vanlife Log: Handmade Montana Pottery and Coffee

Just a hop, skip, and half a jump down the road from a Hot Springs Campground is The Coffee Pot Bakery.  If you find yourself around Bozeman MT, this is a must stop.  The building is an enchanting, refurbished 1932 log cabin.  The Coffee Pot Bakery shares the cabin with Mountain Arts Pottery.  There is an eclectic assortment of unique handmade Montana pottery to look at, while waiting for your bakery treats.

I wanted to buy many items, especially this interesting European butter dish.  It is designed to keep your butter soft and cool at the same time, without refrigeration.  But since we are traveling in the van, I decided it wasn’t entirely a necessity.

I settled on one very awesome cup, for my immediate collection.  However, most of their pottery is available for purchase online, so you can acquire them even if you never make it to Bozeman, MT.

They serve fresh baked pies, cinnamon rolls and other drool worthy pastries. Nearly everything is made from scratch, and they have espresso drinks too!

Don’t forget to take a peak at their blog for some tasty recipes, like this Brown Butter Bourbon Bunt Cake and these Lemon Coolers. Yum! Yum!
