Garden fresh red and yellow heirloom tomatoes tossed with a squeeze of lime to bring out the flavor. A super easy salsa that’s a perfect addition to any table…. or campsite. I made this salsa from a big variety bag of fresh picked tomatoes my brother n law brought out to our campsite. I have not had fresh picked tomatoes in a while, and forgot how amazing they are, it’s like it wasn’t even the same veggie….or is that fruit? These ones below didn’t make it to the salsa because I ate them straight of the vine like grapes! Mmmm so sweet and fragrant, like little candy tomatoes. I am told they sell them at Trader Joes, so be sure to pick some up if you see them.
Back to the salsa, I used medium sized heirloom tomatoes that resembled beefsteak tomatoes, but I’m sure any fresh picked tomato would do well in this salsa. Serve along side eggs, over grilled tostadas, or simply with a spoon😀
1 yellow heirloom tomato, diced
1 red heirloom tomato, diced
1/2 bunch cilantro, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 lime, squeezed
Sprinkle of sea salt
